RE: IPPEC
I have known Ms. Chia since 2002, when I was invited to be the examiner for the 2003 Piano Performance Examinations, held in Taiwan in July-August 2003. As an adjudicator of the Young Artists Concerto Competition of the Greater Grand Forks Symphony Orchestra, ND, the International Festival for Young Artists in Boulder, Colorado, and the National Paulo Giovanini Piano Competition in Brazil, I am familiar with the standard expected, and can assure that Ms. Chia and the members of IPPEC have outstanding organizational skills.
The facilities were excellent and so were the instruments. Ms. Chia had a 20% increase in registration in 2003, fact that confirms her success, reliability and recognition among piano teachers and their students all over Taiwan.
The examination content was carefully designed and the selected repertoire was both interesting and varied. IPPECˇ¦s work is extremely important in keeping high standards in performance in Taiwan, since it provides young talented musicians with a beneficial experience in their education.
Moreover, Ms. Chia holds placement auditions in several American Universities during the examination period. Her recommendation is highly appreciated by the University of North Dakota and University of Minnesota.
